Turning an agreement into arriving groups
The hotel’s letter recalls a meeting in November 1987 to negotiate a competitive rate for group travelers. The agreement called for 60 buses, each carrying 38 passengers, over the following four months.
According to the letter, Manfred Wallner fulfilled that commitment and exceeded the agreed number. The hotel praised his work in tourism promotion and expressed support for the Group Tour Digest project.

Guadalajara, Jalisco, October 27th, 1989. To Whom It May Concern: In November 1987, Mr. Manfred K. Wallner visited our hotel offices, and during our conversation, he asked us how many buses of American tourists we would need to bring in order to obtain the most economical rate. We came to an agreement of 60 buses with 38 passengers each. Mr. Wallner promised that he would bring in the 60 buses within the next 4 months if he was given the most economical rate, and he not only kept his promise, but exceeded the agreed upon amount. We would also like to mention that Mr. Wallner is an excellent tourism promoter of the Mexican Republic, and is respected in this industry not only for his integrity and honesty, but for the excellent work he does for the benefit of Mexican tourism. Furthermore, we were recently informed about the "Group Tour Digest" program, of which Mr. Wallner is the President of the Project. We fully support this program and know in advance that it will increase our sales, as well as contribute to the overall tourism development of Mexico. Sincerely, Sales Manager, LarraLieLLe Hotel, AV.
